Thank You Event 2024
It was an honour to celebrate the communities who helps us do our work at a ‘Thank You’ event in May.
It takes many hands, skills, and experiences to help us achieve our mission and we are grateful for those individuals and organisations who lend their support, time, expertise and/or resources to help us achieve this.
The event was an opportunity for the Foundation to thank our members, volunteers, community partners, sector colleagues, and others who have played a role in our work.
We were also able to showcase works and videos from our recent events and partnership programme.
The AIDS memorial quilts were on display to create a space for reflection and deeper connection with our kaupapa. These are taonga that exist as memorials to those who have died of AIDS related illnesses. Each fabric panel was lovingly created by whānau, friends, partners, co-workers and others, and is as unique as the person it remembers and those who created it.
This was also a chance for our Board and leadership team to speak to our community on the work that we do, and what they would like the Foundation to do next.
If you’d like to help influence our work, and aid us in our mission, then please consider becoming a member.
Thank you again to all those who shared the evening with us and to queer ensemble band, The Codes, for their soulful tunes.
