An HIV self-test is an oral swab (no finger pricks or blood), and results are usually available in 20 minutes. You can do it at home, at work, in your car - anywhere that works for you.

It will be sent to you in discrete, plain packaging, or you can discretely click and collect from our centres in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch.

Please watch the instructional guide below, which you can follow along once your test has arrived.

Please note that you should not brush your teeth, eat or drink, for at least 30 minutes before you begin the test. We recommend doing the test first thing in the morning.
