In April 2016, Eric Schrimshaw – who’s a health psychologist from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health – published a pretty important piece of research. The figures showed that people who watched gay porn in which the actors wore condoms were more likely to wear condoms themselves.

And what’s more – the report actually supported the use of porn in spreading the message of wearing condoms.

“Indeed, our finding that viewing pornography that contains condom use is associated with fewer condomless anal sex encounters suggests that pornography may have a potentially important protective function by encouraging men to use condoms.”
