Bondage Tutorial: Single Wrist Restraint

Bondage play can be a lot of fun, but be sure to take care and play safely. Bondage requires common sense, planning and a clear head.

When it comes to tying another person up, there are a few basic rules you need to be aware of:

  • Never tie ropes in a way that will restrict blood circulation or damage nerve endings.
  • Always have a pair of good quality scissors at hand in case you need to get someone loose in a hurry.
  • Organise a safe word.

Communication is key and a safe word gives you something to say that tells your partner to stop immediately. "Ouch", "ah" and "ooo" are not safe words. Choose something easy to say that you won’t forget like a colour ("Purple!") or a food (Pineapple!").

In the video below, we'll teach you how to do an entry-level bondage tie. It's a single wrist cuff, which allows someone to maintain movement in their hand, and also gives them a strong and supported tie to hold onto.
