This tool was developed by Te Whatu Ora and Burnett Foundation Aotearoa to help people in Aotearoa understand if they're at risk of mpox.
By answering a few questions the tool will determine your level of risk and if you need to contact Healthline to book an mpox consultation at a dedicated clinic.
As part of this consultation the option of receiving the vaccine as well as the potential risks and benefits will be discussed.
The vaccine may be prescribed by a medical practitioner following the consultation and provided in line with section 29 of the Medicines Act.
"Intimate contact" includes close skin-to-skin contact (e.g. hugging, kissing, mutual masturbation, oral sex, anal sex, and vaginal sex) and acts like bed sharing
Note: In some instances, this risk tool may state to call Healthline's mpox 0800 number. This number is no longer active, and we are working with Te Whatu Ora to have this updated.
